Hospital week celebration was carried out from 22nd to 27th February 2016. In the academic part of the celebrations, Dr T.B. Patel Research Medal for Research wing and clinical wing as well as poster presentation was organized on 24th February 2016. Shri Madanmohan Ramanlal GCRI luminary award was presented to Dr R.I. Dave, Former Deputy Director and Head, Surgical Oncology, GCRI on 25th February 2016. Presentation of two prestigious oration awards to the experts was held on 27th February 2016 and the awards presented were: Shri Ramniklal J. Kinarivala Cancer Research Award to Dr Bhavna Dave, Professor of Pediatrics, Munroe-Meyer Institute, Pathology, and Genetics, Cell Biology and Anatomy, Associate Director, Human Genetics Laboratory, University of Nebraska Medical Centre, Omaha, USA and Dr T.B. Patel Oration Award to Dr Neerja Bhatla, Department Obstetrics and Gynecology, AIIMS Hospital, New Delhi. Various other programmes were organized during the week such as elocution competition for staff members of various departments of GCRI on 22nd February 2016; Assessment of Wards, Laboratories and various Departments were carried out on 23rd February 2016. Cultural programme by staff members of the Institute was on 26th February 2016. At the end of celebration week, staff members of the Institute were felicitated and award presented for their noteworthy performance during last year. Also, all the retired staff members were felicitated on 25th February 2016.
